THIS. . . is my garden.Everything is in pots. I do know how pitiful that is. There are two very good reasons for this. One, I need to move them fairly often. It gets wicked hot here and this get enough shade during the day to allow them to live. When a new plant is introduced it may or may not be able to handle its place in the line. It gets moved around and around until it is happy.

Just inside the gate and to the right of the trash bin is a purple liner. I have long forgotten what that was for and have been trying to throw it away for 2 years. It doesn't fit in the can and it's rather tough plastic and I can't break it. Then I got this fantastic idea! Let's drill some holes in the bottom and plant veggies in there!! Is that genius or what!! (thank you thank you) This is full of unusual cucumbers like lemon cucumber, Armenian Cucumber and 2 other varieties that I have forgotten for the moment. I have a bell pepper color mix. Oh and a yellow summer squash. I figured that cukes and bells would handle the heat a little better. Tomatoes are my absolute favorite to plant/grow/eat. Not this year. I KNOW it's going to be to hot here for them. I'll give you regular progress reports on these.

And. . . .lets hope the boys remember to water it while I'm gone or there will be 'no cukes for you!'
