Dear Sir,
I can tell by your accent that you are a foreigner. I know you are not a young man and probably have been driving for many years, both in your country and ours.
So I find it hard to imagine that when the light turns green you feel this is the opportune time to get out of you car and come ask for directions, to LA.
We don't mean to be unfriendly Americans. We just worry about your sanity when you throw your car in park, on a green light, and walk back to our car.
I'm quite sure that type of behavior is frowned upon in your country, and here, well, it could get you killed.
FYI: Gas stations are usually pretty good about giving directions. You could buy a map
Dude.
Get a grip.
