EEEEEEAAAHH!
My workload has exploded. We have 18 houses in transition. Some moving out. Some moving in. Some moving out of one of our homes and into another one of our homes. We losing a couple of homes to the foreclosure market. We are gaining 5 homes with investors picking up deals in this great buyers market.
All in all we are working 7 days. I am getting home about 7 at night. Our diet is terrible. Eating out is our only option as it's too late to fix a decent meal when I get home. Cooking in advance would be a great idea. First I'd have to have the time to prepare more than one meal. Even just heating up a prepared meal is time consuming and sometimes we don't eat until 8-9 at night. I can forget about that 5 pounds I wanted to lose by the wedding.
Oh I try to choose wisely whilst dining out. I do! I make good choices when I'm able. Just last week, I needed shoes for the wedding. Caught a great sale at Penny's and picked up these perfect shoes, on sale, great deal, oh yeah! BH, hating food court food thought we should try out the Nordstrom's Cafe. Oh ladies, ladies, ladies! I had this salad. This salad! Let me tell you, the best salad I'd ever had in my life. It had fussy greens, slices of fresh and dried apple, goat cheese and this Champagne Vinaigarette that was the bomb. THE BOMB! I noticed leaving the restaurant that they had some of this dressing for sale. I bought one.
Then there are times when I climb in the car to the smell of a JalapeƱo Chicken sandwich from Karls. Who can say no to that? Who? No one!
And we are getting ready for the wedding. I think we are finally done. Finally. I packed up my overnight bag, shoes, whatever else I'll need when there and brought them to my folks yesterday. Along with my dress and BH's things too. They will be driving up. We thought it'd be easier if they drove up with our stuff and then we could just climb on the plane without checking anything. I'll just have my purse. Flying with lymphedema is tricky. I could have problems. I'll need to put my sleeve on, my glove and be sure to drink lots of water. It's a short flight thankfully but still I worry some. Not having to tote luggage will be helpful. We leave Thursday. I'm excited to go. Very excited. (I plan a quilt shop run while there, there's a shop in Provo I've heard about) It'll be nice to relax for a few days. Spend time with 'the boy'. Meet his bride. We've talked on the phone. I've seen her picture. Now I look forward to meeting this lovely lady that has captured my rogue son's heart.
It's hot. Unmercifully hot. We can't catch a break with this all consuming heat. It makes the little time we have to ourselves unpleasant. We ran out of deodorant. Well BH did first. He hates using mine as mine always smells foofy. He doesn't want his pits to smell like anything. Blank. Nada. No smell whatsoevah. Then mine ran out. For two days we talked about stopping at the grocery. There's stuff we need. Need. Like food. Now this. Deodorant. This is not a luxury, we gotta have it. The third evening found us sitting on the couch. Watching reruns of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Did you know game shows have reruns? I didn't. 'Boy, I sure could go for some ice cream about now.' We do. We go to the store. We are motivated by ice cream and not the fact that we disparately need deodorant.
Thankfully we remember to buy deodorant. And ice cream.

I loved this post! I can relate, because during the psychic fair tour, we ran out of most groceries and just have eaten out as well. I have a week off to buy groceries, get hair and pedicure done, and write a blog post or two.
