Holy Smoley

Holy Smoley people I've had some major blog issues.

First I tried to change the banner. With Normans Womans help I put a picture in there. But it was too small. It took up a tiny corner of the banner and you couldn't even tell it was a picture of my grandpug Zoe. Then she told me how big to make it. Somehow I couldn't make it the size that it needed to be. I most likely was not doing it right. Then I got tired of seeing my banner that way so I inserted the saved copy of my template only to find that it had reverted back to the day I saved the template and wouldn't let me post.

So, then I sent out a heads up to a fellow blogger but before she could respond I was able to reset my template. But still couldn't post, load pics, nada. AND my links were all gone. My sidebar, missing. You know, it took me a long time to get it that way, I'd like to make it better, but I was building, building up to it. And then, gone. Now instead of building I gotta put it back the way it was. Still not there. I really need to take a couple of days to figure this stuff out.

THEN, yesterday, I got my new phone!!!!!!! Yehaw!

It's a Blackberry, but it's red. Purdy! It's the newish Pearl. And. WOW. There is much to learn. Much much much. Here, let's see if I can upload a pic.
Oh that's marvelous.
Ok, now isn't that the coolest looking phone? Yes? I was at Best Buy last night and saw a pink one. I'm not really a pink kind of gal. I do like this red though.

And this pic, is darn near actual size. Can you see those tiny letters on there? No? Neither can I. That is a drawback. I wanted the bigger screened Blackberry but I like the compactness of this phone. I was told you could one thumb text once you get used to it. I do not text all that often but I do intend to surf and email. It has the qwerty keypad which I'm used to at work but let me tell you, it's different when you are trying to tell your thumb how to type. There are 2 letters on each pad. Sometimes 2 letters and a number. Then there's symbols and actual writing on those little pads. I had to use a magnifying glass to go through the tutorial. And isn't' that cool, a tutorial right there on the phone. I didn't even have to read the book.

Well I really need to read the book. I was not able to get on line with it or check my email. I did take a few pictures and I called my mom.

Oh and I got a blue tooth ear thingy. I cannot find a picture of it. Wait, there it is.

It's small, the ear thing is a little silicone dealy that is easy to put on your ear and comfortable. BH was annoyed. He wanted me to get his. Which looks like this.
It's called the Jawbone. Is that ugly or what? It's about double the size. And the ear thing, totally freaks me out. I tried his and I can not get the thing on and when I do it feels heavy and awkward. Oh and you cannot adjust the volume on it. Now I don't know about you but I have people that I talk to that are loud talkers, you know the ones, everyone in the room can hear everything they say, and clearly too! Then there's my dad who speaks barely above a whisper. So you know, I gotta turn him all the way up and then the next caller, who may even speak normal is blasting my ear drums. I cannot imagine not being able to control the volume. With the Jawbone, you adjust the volume on the phone.

And that's the other thing, with this phone and ear thingy, you can be 500 ft away, (I think) which is kind of a cool thing. I no longer have to have the phone in my pocket with the little wire going up to my ear. (that was nightmarish, I was forever getting caught on doorknobs) I could put it in my purse or on my desk and walk around the office. BH leaves his phone downstairs and can be upstairs and answer it. Neato!

Well I'm off. Gotta get ready for work and play with my phone.

See ya!

Does my last post really say 'buzy'? What a retard!

you need to get one of the boys to show you around the phone, I think this generation was born knowing how to use all the gadgets. My kids at work all have iphones and they use them like there is nothing to it..me i have a 2 year old razr..i only use the phone...and it is pink :)

COngrats on the new phone. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to switch to one of those ear pieces. SOmetimes, I am very technologically behind.
