New Year resolutions anyone?
Me?
No.
I haven't in years and I doubt I ever will again.
Still. . . there is just something about January 1, the start of a brand new year, that makes me think about changing stuff. Or organizing stuff. Or finishing stuff.
My last years intentions? Still undone. In fact forgotten altogether until I looked them up yesterday.
This years intentions?
I'd like to finish unpacking. I think that can be accomplished. I have boxes upon boxes in the garage and I still have to finish packing at the old house. Yep, I still have stuff there. Not lots, but enough.
I'd like to finish all of the quilts I have currently in various stages. I could realistically finish all of the completed tops. But I wont. I know this but it's still worth thinking about. I had decided that I would not start a new quilt until I had finished all my UFO's (unfinished objects) but I am already planning to start a new quilt with one of my BFF's Gwennie. More to come on that.
That's it. That is all I'm putting on my list this year. Not one more thing.
Soooo, who partied last night? Anyone? Me?
God in heaven no!
We had planned to have a couple over for dinner. I picked up a family sized lasagna, I made some garlic bread and some homemade Minestrone soup. I roasted some chick peas (they didn't turn out) and I was going to slice up BH's sausage, you know the one he got in his bucket 'o' stuff from my folks. (what were you thinking?) And we had plenty of champagne. But. . . .BH came down with a wicked cold so we canceled dinner. We thought we'd invite people over today, you know, stop by, eat a little, toast the New Year, but. . . . I woke up with BH's cold. It seems sometime between 2007 and 2008 BH's cold slid over to my side of the bed.
I honestly was thrilled to have the dinner canceled. I prefer to stay home, alone and work on some sort of project. For years I would pick up puzzles at the thrift store and put them together NY eve and day. About 5 years ago my BFF Shel came up with an idea that I totally love. Models! Yeah, car models. The boys loved it. Last year I worked on a huge fighter plane model that BH had. It took positively forever to put together, months. I picked up a new model for me this year and I worked on it a little last night.
I'll post pictures of it's progress later.
My chassis is dry. Gotta go.

I am pretending it is not the New Year yet. It is actually December 28th still. Not quite ready for resolutions yet.
We went to bed at 10PM on New Year's Eve. We're SO EXCITING, I know.
