This is our living room. The door there may have been the entry front door at one time. It sticks and I can't get it open. No one comes in from there anyway.
BH just got this furniture. It's beautiful but no one uses this room really His chess set is on the table along with a quilt a friend gave me. Under the table is a few games like Scrabble, Life, Rummicubes and my fav Yatzee. We also got this cool game called Barricade. It's kind of a homemade game. I have an antique Yo-yo quilt pillow in the corner of the couch.

These are the windows in that room. It has a beautiful view. The quilt that I am making for our bed is laid out on the floor. I may put my treadle sewing machine there where the little table is. Still thinking about that.

This is the family room where we really live. To the right of the tv is four folding doors. Behind those doors is the washer/dryer. This room was a garage at one time.

These are the couches in front of the tv. There is a little ottoman in front of this very comfortable matching chair. The Chair, while comfortable will pitch you forward unless you use the ottoman. You cannot see the windows well. There is a nice view from them and there is a window seat there. The little plastic tub in the far right corner of the room is where Tommy the turtle stays when we are not at home. Mo's box is to the right, you can't see it.

This is behind the couches. Window look into our fenced patio area. There is a beautiful hutch there and to the right of it is my treadle sewing machine. Further right is a wought iron fireplace.

This is the fireplace. It leaked this winter and needed to be cleaned out so we were not able to use it. We do burn a lot of candles here and oil lamps as well.

My treadle machine. I love this and construct most of my quilts on it. It works beautifully. It's from the 1800's sometime. The chair is from the 30's or 40's. I need to refinish it.

The hutch with all kinds of old stuff on it.

I loved seeing your house. I really like the area that used to be the garage. I would like to do that here at our house. Do you ever have to get parts for that sewing machine? I didn't realize the turtles had to stay inside. Is it because they might escape when no one is home?
Yes I have had to replace parts for my sewing machine. Some of them are common like the bobbins and the needles. One part was diffecult. It was the bobbin winder. I contacted this site that deals with treadle parts. This was funny. I described my machine and he said, 'let me call you back, I've got to look in the barn for your part.' It seems he collects old treadles, keeps them in the barn for parts. Great service, got the part in just days.
Yep, we keep the turtles in during the day when we are gone. Just yesterday Tommy escaped from his tub and roamed the house. Left a little mess here and there. This yard is not 100% secure and there is a chance that someone may leave a gate open so we do keep them in when we go to work.
Can you tell if the turtle eggs hatched yet?
That's funny about the man looking in the barn for the part. Thank goodness someone does the job of collecting and taking them apart for the parts.
So far the turtle egg has not hatched. I gave another egg to a friend and it has not hatched either. They may not be fertile or the conditions may not have been right. There is still time. If they do not hatch by Thanksgiving they will not hatch. Usually it is Sept/Oct although it could be as early as late July/Aug.
