DUDESSES!!
WALLY WORLD!!!
PINEAPPLE FUSION CANDLES!!
Did I mention they've completely screwed up my Walmart? Well they have. They are 'modernizing' it and very few things are where they used to be. This slows my shopping time to look more like turtle time. My head bobbing up and down the isles looking for familiar things in unfamiliar places. It also has increased my spending there.
I have a list:
Fathers Day: Hawaiian shirt for dad, Hawaiian shirt for BH
Magoo's Birthday: Something, I don't know, something cute and little girlish
A new tablecloth for Fathers Day, something 4th of Julyish (40X85)
muslin backing for my vintage quilt (56X73)
pelon (interfacing) for my paper piece quilts (yes quiltS)
new notebook for lists (must have in purse @ ALL times)
I'm hoping Wally has Hawaiian shirts, if not Target may have them and at least they haven't fubar'd that store. In the door to the right and just past Micky D's is where the mens USED to be. I make a left.
ooooo cosmetics! (squirrel!) I could use a new nail polish. I love the Salley Hansen Hard As Nails line. I don't care what anybody says THAT STUFF TOTALLY ROCKS!!! I pick up a bottle of Diamond Strength Nude Shimmer and Hard as Wraps clear. My bottle at work is getting gummy.
Ok mens dept mens dept where is the mens department 'CANDLES!' (nuther squirrel) I am tired of the YK Lemon Lavender. I've never really liked it and have had it over a year now. LOOK! What a pretty yellow! Pineapple Fusion! I take two. The second one is going upstairs. Wait! I need those oils for my plugs-ins. Would you look at that! They have Pineapple Fusion! In the oils! Wheeee!
I really do have to go to the mens department. There it is. I know exactly where it is now and I'll be there just as soon as I pick out one of these darling sundresses for Magoo. Red. It's adorable. She'll need an accessory of course. Flip flops some red beaded bracelet. Yes? But first. . . .
The mens department. I bet you thought I'd never get there. Me neither. And they have. . . . for miles and miles. . . . . Hawaiian!! Shorts and shirts and swim trunks and. . and. . . SCORE!! And they are only $9 bucks! DOUBLE SCORE!
What next, fabric, I'm not sure where fabrics are but BH asked me to pick up some milk and I see the fridg cases just up ahead. Whoa! Wine! Would you look at that wine isle! Mercy! Ok lets get some of that wine mom likes for FD. And Ginger Ale. Nope, they're out of that. Grab milk, put it back because I have more shopping.
Table cloth on the way to fabrics, bright red with blue white stars. And I saw a cute 4th July candle back there. I'll get that next.
Fabs, muslin, 90" yard and a half. Many pelon's to chose, plain, iron on, rip off. Chose yard of plain and rip off. Caught site of 2 must have prints, lime green with pink polka dots (I know! but it is really cute) and a lime green swirly type design, I'm thinking bug in a jar quilt. Go home and figure out what you NEED first. K'?
Wait, look over there! Candy! I need candy for FD. And cookies.
Head over to milk counter grab milk and head into garden section. I deliberately left out the garden section. It was not on my list. I almost wrote on my list DO NOT GO IN THE GARDEN SECTION! because I do not NEED to buy any more garden things but I do NEED a new BBQ brush for FD and that was NOT on my list. (are you annoyed with all the caps yet? I am) New brush? 99c! Awesome!
I'M DONE!! Woot! Woot!
No wait, an accessory for Magoo. What a cute red hat! No, to big. Bracelets, nothing little girly. PURSE! Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! Wait'll you see this purse!
Ok now done! That's it seriously! I just have to get out of here!
I was so excited to do the Unpack for BH. It's a little song and dance, show and tell performance without the song, as I don't sing well. We both enjoy these performances.
It was then that I realized. . . I forgot to get a new notebook! CRAP!!
So much shopping, so little time. And energy.
I'm tired now. Ni Ni. . . . . . . .

Dear Walmart
Dear Walmart,
I love you, I do, but I have to say I'm a little miffed with you at the moment. You see, this rearranging of your entire store, is seriously cramping my style. SERIOUSLY!! Why, you ask? Well because, I had the entire store memorized. Oh yes I did! I could walk into the store with a list as long as my arm and get everything on it in a matter of minutes.
And now? All that has changed. Now I am wandering aimlessly through the isles, looking for a familiar landmark. And, may I ask, where are all the 'associates'? It would be helpful for your customers to have someone guiding them to the proper place so they could actually buy the thing they want. Have you noticed all your customers? No? You should be paying attention because we are running in to each other because we are constantly looking over at the next isle, hoping to see something familiar. We're even asking each other, 'do you know where this is?' and hearing, 'I think I saw those over there'. I did eventually find an 'associate' and asked where the scented room oils were, she looked at me with a blank stare. 'I don't know dear, I've been gone for a week and now I don't know where anything is either.' Nice! 'Well they keep them with the candles, usually.' 'Oh yes! Candles! I do know where the candles are.' After trucking to the complete opposite of the store we do find the candles, but the scented oils, no. And why are the silk flowers on one end of the store and dried flowers on the other? Why? Don't you want to keep all that stuff together? In the same place? Apparently not as they are now in two new locations so I'm assuming that is where they will stay when the dust settles.
One happy thing is the fabrics are back. I KNOW!! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!! I ran into the fabrics once on my many treks through the store. Normally I would stop and take a peak at the fabrics, you know, just for fun, but not this day. Fabrics were not on my list and I was afraid I'd never finish my list. Hopefully I'll be able to find the fabric again when I need to. (or want to)
But in the mean time, PLEASE, Walmart, get your shit together!
