The Christmas table at the old folks home.
Christmas dinner is always Rouladen. It's a German dish. It takes forever to make and mom always makes it for special meals and always for Christmas. I've already been instructed by the boys that I WILL be taking over this tradition when the peeps are no longer able to make it.
Here Ddunkie is perfecting his mash potato gravy holder. I should have video-d it as it is a beautiful thing to behold. An act of true love.
Beautiful yes?That's mash potatoes and gravy. Sauerkraut, which I can make as well as my mom but refuse to eat myself. And Rouladen. I know it looks like a turd by it is in fact a Rouladen. And it is yummy!
Unfortunatly mom diced the potatoes (to speed cooking) and then over cooked them. They were watery and barely edible. Sad.
