Happy New Year!

HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
How did you ring in the new year?

BH and I finished off a bottle of Grey Goose and shot off all our guns at midnight. Who boy was that ever fun. Until the cops came. Did you know shooting a fire arm on New Years eve was a felony? Huh! After all the new police jewelry we got to ride in a cop car with that new car smell. It's about a year old the nice officer said. And all the gadgets they have in there! MY OH MY! A geeks dream.

They took us to the station which was still all sparkly and decorated for the holidays. So nice to keep it up long enough for us to enjoy it. It was a cold night but the station was toasty warm. Stockings were hung over a fireplace. Not a real one of course but it was one of those nice faux old brick patterns printed on cardboard. A fan blew yellow and orange streamers in the fireplace and just for a moment, we truly believed it was real. There was a box of donuts in the corner and we eyed them with a touch of drool coming from the sides of our mouth. We asked if we could split one. No, was the answer. A whole box of donuts, I thought, it's New Years Eve for crying out loud. Who would it hurt to give us a donut? The big bad officer left leaving us with a tiny elf of a girl with Christmas buttons all over her uniform. She had on a bright green elf hat with ears that almost looked real. She smiled sweetly at us and had us sit down. With our cuffs off she let us each pick our own donut! I of course got my favorite, glazed! Yum! And they were fresh and warm. BH got a chocolate eclair with cream filling. She was just so nice to us, I think she may have been a real elf.

They then took us to the picture room. The elf girl combed our hair a little so we'd look neat, then made sure we were smiling nicely for the photo. Our prints were taken, DO YOU JUST LOVE THE LIVE SCAN!!! Me too! No more messy ink to get on your clothes, or in our case, jammies. We were allowed to make a phone call, signed a few papers and then we were free!!

Oh I can't keep this up much longer.

I was just kidding.

We had the Stoli and only shot of 2 of our guns.

Happy New Years!!

New years rez

Happy new year Australia! (because its new years day in oz right now) Many years ago I made a new years rez to never make any more new years resolutions. I'd make goals. I'd write them all out. Short term goals, long term goals, stuff I need to do, stuff I want to do, stuff I should do. And them promptly forget all about it. Right? Who's with me so far?

All good rez were made to be broken so I'm only making resolutions that I know ill be able to keep. You ready? Here we go.

New years resolutions for 2010.

Make those amazing meatballs! There's five different ones and they all look de lish! If I made 1 meatball recipe a month I could knock this rez out in, well, five months.

Replace the trackball in my phone. I need to take care of it soon or it'll freeze altogether rendering my phone practicaly useless.

Get a new phone. It may be the same phone or it may be a different phone but when my contract expires I will get a new phone.

Get new contacts. I've been legally blind for months now, putting off the dreaded optometrist visit for some odd reason. I was going to wait until January but Bh refused to let me drive and I had to take care of this before I left. So one rez taken care of. A positive way to start the new year yes?

Let's see what else, oh yeah, de Christmas my house. I'll start that tomorrow and I should be done by Monday. Another positive for the new year.

Bh is a nagging so were off to California. See ya tomorrow!

Good bye 2009!
