April Fools

I get a frantic call from Jbug, middles girlfriend.

Jbug: Have you heard from Middle?
me: No, why?
Jbug: He just called and said he's been in an accident, then had to go. I was hoping he'd called you.
me: No. Gee. I'll call you as soon as I hear something.

My first reaction was of dread. DREAD! After three months of pounding the pavement he finally lands a job. As a driver. I know! So, this won't be good. Regardless of weather or not it's his fault, he may still lose his job. And I hate to think of him wrecking his car that he's worked so hard to restore.

I text Middle

me: R U ok? Jbug called.
Middle: yep, april fools!
me: NICE!!

He got me. It was late in the day and should have been home so I was worried. I was mad because he had me so worked up. I figured he was ok, because he called, and I'm sure if he'd been in a coma he wouldn't be able to call. Never mind he walks around in a coma half the time, if it were a real coma, well, I don't think they'd let him use his phone. On the other hand I was relieved.

And completely forgot to call Jbug.

To be honest, I probably would not have called her not wanting to 'spoil' the boys fun. But I didn't remember.

And she's pissed.

For two days she's been mad.

I don't have the heart to tell her that the madder she gets the funnier it is. For everyone.

I'll tell her later.

When she's not so mad.
