Young Eagles

Our Young Eagle rally was the 25th. Just before my birthday. I had planned to do something else that day but BH insisted that I be there. I was needed at the flight coordinator table. And really, I am needed there.
YE works with all volunteers. Which means nobody ever really knows what they are doing and have to be watched. Fortunately at our table we have developed friendships and work well together. Also, we always somehow manage to make it to the rally every time.
Also I want you to know how very very cold it was. No I do not care if I look ridicules.
And windy. Very very windy. So windy in fact that it blew a plane into a ditch!

We all found creative ways to stay warm.

One of my most favorite Pilots! War hero and cancer survivor! Was so helpful to me while I was bald and beautiful.One of the Jans with pilot hubby. She is the main flight coordinator.

Another Jan!! Pilot, member of The Sisterhood of the Bald and lymphedema sufferer.

And yet another Jan. Pilot wife and master of The Burger Burn! I'm thinking of changing my name to Jan.Everybody came to join in on the fun.

I had no idea they were planning this little party.

Much cake was eatenI was deeply deeply touched. These are such wonderful people and they are ALL near and dear to my heart.

There were more dogs to smooch!
