This and that

The mountains seem so close today. The air is crisp and clean. I love seeing the clouds so close. We have a wonderful view from the backyard. On this day the sky is smoggy. No beautiful mountains. We call this guy Maya's boyfriend.
He seems to be a sweet old man. He never barks. After she visits him she'll pee not far from the fence. He watches intently as she does. Then pees on the fence himself. Looks like true love to me.

And this. . . is a house here in the city. And the color! Well it speaks for itself dontcha think? It is a house that sits all by itself, no other neighbors around. And for that we can be thankful. The Christmas lights are up all year. I never see them on during the holidays.
This along with the name of the beloved Honey was sprayed all over this wall. And this is our little frog! I know the photo is a little blurry but isn't he adorable?
He lives in a house plant that I banished to the porch of our old house.
He's very tiny this frog. About the size of a quarter, maybe, but he croaks like a big boy. When he was smaller we'd hear him and look all over for him. When we finally found him with the flashlight we couldn't believe that it was him.

We miss him.

And this!
Is my favorite parking spot at the grocery store. Right there. See it? Between those two cars? This is the side of the store and this is where I love to park. It's close. It's almost always shady. And it's almost always open.

Just for me!!!

BH will never park here.

See that? That hole? It's a huge hole. You have to navigate this spot. You have to make sure that your right tire goes over those metal covers there. I've gotten stuck in the hole before. Not stuck stuck but you know, sorta stuck.

The metal covers? Yes, they ARE sewer covers! In other words this spot stinks. It does. It smells bad. Like, like, well like sewage.

I don't care that it smells. I don't. It almost always guarantees that this spot is open, and shady, and waiting just for me.

I hope they never fix it.

ps: If I keep my windows closed I suffer no ill effect from the odor. Which is not always present by the way. But mostly is.
