Un Christmas decorating

Our out of town guests. . . did not make it yesterday. Today, today they are suppose to come over.

And.

Stay the night.

I know, I know.

Still, I must start the undecorating because, it's time, and, I am beyond sick of it by now.

So I started on the upstairs. I didn't have a lot up there. Most of my decorations are small and require a flat surface.

The upstairs guest bathroom had thisPretty angel soaps in a tree candy dish. Lovely yes?
Snowmen surrounding a pumpkin spice candle.
On the toidy tank. I love this snowman. The snowman garland usually hangs under the bathroom light but I decided not to poke holes in the walls just yet. Oh the stuff to the left in the small jam jar, it's this awesome sugar scrub that smells like chocolate. A friend made it.
In the upstairs hall
My treadle machine with my favorite Nativity scene on it. Want to see?
It's from Avon and I'd like to get more pieces. I'll have to eBay it.
My favorite piece is
The camel
The downstairs items I'm taking down today.
The front door thingy.
The downstairs bathroom, looks barren, but it's not.
Towel and ornament.
Cute cute cute, yes?
A craft from my holiday exchange.
Bathroom doorhanger, another craft from the holiday exchange.
Above the toidy, another item from the craft exchange.
This is my favorite. A handpainted bar of soap. One of the gals in my craft exchange painted this. I had two but I dropped and broke one.
In the formal living/dining room we have this cool cabinet. I'm sure it has a name. It's not a pie safe but those bottom drawers are huge and rounded, like you'd put flour or sugar in. I usually keep our alcohol type glasses in here and use it much like a bar.
These are very cool crystal glasses, all sizes. Wine, Champagne, liquor glasses cut into a beautiful pattern. I filled them with gold shred. There's a little porcelain nativity to the right.

Inside the cabinet
These are lego Santa's and a lego snowman. I got them years ago for the boys. I don't find them anymore. Must eBay or google it or something. I love them. One problem however, they are a bit fragile. I'd love to find a way to glue them together. Do they make lego glue, like puzzle glue? I've tried hot glue (DO NOT TRY THIS! It's a mess and doesn't work, at all.) and model glue.
Baby Jesus under the cabinet. My cousin made this one year. It's one of my favorite Christmas things.
A little collection of snowmen. They're ornaments but I like to keep them in a box with silver shred.
Santa's I've painted in years past. I use to make a new Santa every year. Cut my own wood, painted etc. No time now sadly. I miss doing it.
The family room had this, and only this, next to the tv.
The kitchen (really a large kitchen/family room combo) had quite a few things. Like next to the coffee pot.
I don't have a Christmas sugar/creamer yet. Used T-day ones instead. Plastic utinsil holder from 99 store, cool snowflake bowl (will hold Cmas cards, napkins etc) Mikasa dish with these yummy yummy mint cookies that taste like the Girl Scout version, also at the 99 store.
My fridge. These will stay up all year. Yes I will keep the turkey up there too.
One end table in the formal rooms.

Daudder end table.

This cinnamon bread. . YUMMO! Costco, toasted, with cream cheese or just butter.
I reeaally need some festive Christmas shakers.

The goodie corner, by the fridge. A danish (meh) my pfeffernusse and biscotti in the tins. A porcelain sleigh I use with a tea light. Very festive indeed.
The fruit bowl I had on the table. It held up pretty well. I used the persimmons in a madeline recipe. More on THAT later.
I got these cute snowman bowls for the DIL's last year. This one got left behind in the festivities.
My nails. Sparkly and purty for Christmas.
Sparkle acrylic over clear tips.
I can't believe how much Christmas crap I have. There's more, oh yes, there's more.
