This is a pug. It's hard to tell I know but it is in fact a pug. A certain pug named Frank.

Did you know he sucks his thumb? He cries a lot too. Here he's sucking his right thumb. He'll do it for hours or until we holler for him to stop.
This is a vintage quilt.

I've had it for years. Given to me by my precious MIL

Made up of shirts and aprons.

Each square is hand pieced.

I machine sewed the squares on my Civil War area Singer Treadle.

I think the fabs are all 30's area.

Maybe 50's

60's???

That? Is my toe. I thought at first it was my finger but I haven't had a french manicure in forever. Do my toes really look like my fingers? Don't answer that.

I can see house dresses in these fabs.

Grandpa's shirts maybe?
All the fabs are old.

They're not starchy and crisp

They are well worn

And much loved.
I've finally sandwiched it after adding the turquoise and rust border.

I will be hand quilting this precious quilt.

Ohhhh, I love Frank and the quilt. And in that order of course! I have my grandmother's quilt. It's safely stored because I'm afraid for it to get torn or something with my crazy crew. Your quilt reminds me so much of my grandmother's. I can't wait to see how it looks when you're done quilting it...with your toe.

I loved seeing those quilt pieces...that's so special. I do love seeing the pictures of Arizona in your other posts, too. And Little Frank...he's just like a real human baby!
