I need new glasses

No I see just fine, it's my drinking glasses. I need new drinking glasses.

BH prefers these ginormous plastic drinking glasses (cups? can they be called glasses ifin they're plastic?)

Anyhoodle, I'm rather fussy about my glassware. I want them sturdy. Real sturdy. I don't want them tipping over (because they will) and breaking. I want them to have solid bases. Nothing fancy or fragile. And I like glass, not plastic, which I'm sure is poisoning me. I used canning jars for years. Loved it. No not fancy, not even very pretty but I'll tell you, they lasted forever, they didn't break easily, they didn't topple and I could pour boiling hot liquid in them or toss them in the freezer if I had to. Or and another thing, they have to be able to fit in the dishwasher rack and not clink around.

Is this all too much to ask?

Well there's more. I have a certain glass in mind. Of course you use to be able to buy them everywhere, in fact I found them at Pic n Sav once. (which I hear is going out of business, is that true?) Now I'm not able to find them though I haven't checked everywhere.

So a friend insisted I go to Overstock to see if they had them.

Are they the coolest? Though I don't know about the round bottoms after a few glasses. You just know someone is going to set them down wrong.

These would be more like it. Square bottoms, no chance of tipping here. I don't like the glass part. Shaped like ugly water glasses. I like the flutes in the first pic or balloons. These are neither. Industrial, Coco's style water glasses with pretty bottoms.

But I don't need wine glasses. I need a wine glass rack. But I'm good on the wine glasses.

I have yet to make a Martini in them. I have made a dessert in them. And these were ridiculusly expensive on Overstock. I got them at the 99 store.

Clear glasses with a hint of green on the rim. These arn't them. These are shot glasses.
I want them shaped like these. Nice thick glass. Study bottom. Like these, only clear with green rims.

Not like these. I like the shape of these. The stems are pretty. These would make nice water glasses. They look a little fragile and I don't know how they'd hold up in the dishwasher. And I don't like the over all green.

I'll keep looking.
