Well tomorrow is ruined. RUINED! I report for Jury duty @ 8:00 am.

I have to be out the door at 7 to make it. 7 am!!!! Showered, hair, makeup, fed and coffeed!

7:49 am
hurry up and wait, there will be 350 of us today.

7:51 am
well it seems organized, no one knows what is going on.

After strip searching us we are herded down to the basement.

8:14 am
I'm googleing how to get out of jury duty. There is 'fresh brewed coffee with lightener' in the vending machine. At least it's free.

8:33 am
A very tall strange woman wearing Capris and red converse shoes with footies. I wonder if she knows how goofy she looks.

8: 36
the place is filling up. I may lose my purse chair

9:15
now we have the pleasure of watching a 13 minutes video

9:30
red shoes annoying everyone

9:45
I did not make the first string.

They roped us off 80 at a time to go upstairs. It's fun to think of the elevator that will only take 8 of us at a time. Oh, and they only have one elevator and will not let us use the stairs unless we have a 'problem' with that.

10:11
Whats worse is that red shoes did not make the first string either.

10:22 old man reading sunset magazine. I wonder if he's reading a recipe. Looking at the people in here I don't think I'd touch these mags.

10:31
And yet I do. Allure. Its boring and the girl next 2 me smells like soap. I try the tea with lightener this time. It's even worse than the coffee. Unspeakably worse.

10:54
made it upstairs, whoohoo!!! Now I must turn off the phone. See ya!

And. . . . .

I get off!!!!!

whew!

At least for another year.

Nice job! I have never been drafted for jury duty, but I hear if you act very passionate about something, they'll nix you - ie, I love gays! I hate gays! Free Tibet! etc...

Strip search? Really?

No not really. Truth be told they were SUPER nice to us. They wanted us all very happy so we'd serve on the jury.

Which I'd have loved to do. But work.
