That is a family joke. Whenever we get terribly bored and have to wait and wait, one of us will usually say, 'You know, I died once'
And this weekend, I almost died.
So, would you rather hear about my near death experience or my ghost encounter? Huh? Well, I'm feeling better today so I'll tell you about my ghost encounter.
Friday we had a day off with some friends. They are clients but also dear dear friends. We decided to take the train from San Juan Capistrano to San Diego and cruse around there for awhile. I truly love this couple. They are sweet and honest and well, just real. So the train ride to San Diego was lovely. The train rolls along the seaside and it's truly a beautiful ride.
This is the station in San Diego. I didn't take the station pic at Capistrano. It's not big, it's pretty, prettier I think and I have some pics somewhere.
After the train ride to SD we decided to rent a car. (you know it's only a 1 1/2 -2 hr ride to SD we could've just drove) Mo has a bum leg and was not up to walking. Lydia also has a serious medical condition, more on that later. Renting a car was really a good idea.
We ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant that was right across the street from the Whaley house. The Whaley house in case you are not familiar is a famous haunted house in San Diego. All of us HAD to check it out.

I'll load up the pics on flicker later.
I don't think I captured any spirits. But I will say this.
1) I charge my camera battery the night before so that I could shoot whatever all day.
2) I tried to take 2 pictures of every space that I could so I could check to see if it was reflection or whatever. There were several rooms where I could not take 2 pictures. My camera just refused.
3) My battery died. It registered low. It refused to take pictures. Then the battery was fine. Then low. Died. Came back. Also there were settings that appeared, disappeared. I didn't find it creepy. It just did things my camera never does.
Once we left the Whaley house it was fine. It never acted up again.
The battery was fine for the rest of the trip.
Check out The Whaley house.
