NaBloPoMo Pumpkin Martini

Funny Pictures
moar funny pictures

I couldn't post yesterday.
I am sorry.
Do I get voted off the NaBloPoMo Island?
I'm too tired to care.
Here 'was' the plan:
I intended to go to the office for a 'quick post'. But first I cleaned the windows. All of them. No, just the downstairs windows. But there are many. Like 7 plus the slider. You see the house was very clean and freshly painted and cleaned carpet. But, we had a wicked wind/dust storm and the former tenants, apologized profusely about not having the time to go back over the windows and such. And I'm having T-day here and I wanted clean windows and window sills. So I did. I cleaned all the downstairs windows. And sills. And the slider. This involved removing screens and/or windows themselves. These are fairly new windows and they came right out! Very cool. By the time I was done I had a monster headache and BH made me go to bed. Oh and with all the moving my hand and arm swelled. It was kind of cute, all pudgy and stuff. So there you have it. I was not able to post.

And about Thanksgiving. I may not be able to post then either. The computer is still set up at the old house. The desk did not make it in the first furniture move so I doubt the desk/computer will make it until after T-day.

Oh well.

I think I need one of these.

PUMPKIN MARTINI

Then there was a PINK pumpkin pie cocktail. Listen to this. You take PINK vodka, pumpkin pie filling, cream, spiced rum, a pinch of nutmeg and a splash of vanilla. Pour in a martini glass and garnish with whipped cream. What do you think? I am not a fan of vodka, like, at all, but I think I have to try this because I love pumpkin. And I've been wanting to try those fun sounding martini's for a long time, but, you know, the vodka. And I want to drink out of a martini glass, because, it sounds fun and retro and all that. So now I have to find PINK vodka and stock up on pumpkin. Oh and the martini glasses. I need a few of those. I found these awesome martini glasses at an artsy fartsy boutique in Laguna Beach that were hand painted. They were so beautiful. And expensive. $35.00 and up. Yes, each! So I'm lookin at them carefully and I think, shoot! I can do that. I am crafty. I will pick up some martini glasses at the 99 cent store and try my hand at it.

I'll put my fall apron on, with the pumpkins and crows and drink my pumpkin cocktail from a martini glass. Maybe I'll paint pumpkins on the glass.

Note: You may remember that I posted this exact thing last year. I didn't change a thing. Sue me!

I do remember trying this and thinking it was very good. A little weird because it sort of makes the glass dirty. Wouldn't it be cool with cranberry garnishes? Who's with me?

Maybe I need more than one of these.

And a very long nap.
