Creatures, Critters and Cars

My favorite Halloween puggy pic. Ben and Henry. Or is it Henry and Ben?

I was fooling around with the Blogger video thing for weeks on end. It wouldn't let me load up. It said I had to switch to the new beta version, which I had, months ago. So then I went and tried to youtube it. I couldn't get a username. Everything I punched in came up 'that user name is taken'. This was a total lie because I punched in stupid shit like 'letmein6578' 'i88kill7Unow56' '5please8iluvU45' So then I decided to try to upload with the Blogger again and whala! I was able to upload two very old but cute video's of Kitty and Frank.

Yes I think her name is Kitty, it's what the boys call her. X calls her Rimshot, because he's a drummer and thinks that's cool. The boys say 'rimshot' is dirty and they won't call her that. Honest to Pete, they say it's dirty! I'd never heard of such a saying so I ask. They, being the sweet mama's boys that they are, will not tell me. So, if anyone knows what this means, let me know. I've even googled it. Whatever.

Earlier this week my arm was aching me terribly so I took a pain pill and went to bed. I crack open the door a little and settle in with my pillows propping my arm and all that. Once I'm settled in I can't move much, which is the whole idea, but just before I drift into never-never-land I hear this enormous ruckus outside my room. It's a pack of coyotes! At least 10, maybe more, and they are howling to beat the band. They apparently hit upon a food find that is making them all very very happy. So I call out to BH, 'Babe? Is Maya B outside?' We have a fenced yard that she is allowed to roam in, it's small so I think it's reasonably safe for her, but if that many coyotes are so close then I don't want her out there. BH peaks his head in the doorway with this goofy grin, 'Can you hear that? The coyotes must have found something.'

me: Is Maya outside?
BH: I think so.
me: WHAT!
BH: I'll check.

After a few minutes.

BH: Yep.
me: Did you bring her in?
BH: No, she's having a great time, listening to the coyotes.
me: WHAT! BRING HER IN!
BH: Oh, they don't want her, they must have found a bunny or something.
me: BRING HER IN NOW!
BH: I did, geesh, you worry to much.

So then this morning, (I'll get to my car in a minute) I let the little Maya B in from her morning pee and I see, what? A dog? Looking at me from the other side of the fence. No, not a dog, a coyote! Then another coyote peeks around the corner, then another! Three coyotes! They are incredibly quiet, huge, they see me and scurry off, up the hill.

me: Hey there's three coyotes out here!
BH: Oh yeah, where? (as he comes out in his undies with his pellet gun)
me: They're gone now, up the hill. You know Maya was just out here, I'll bet they were sneakin around trying to get her.
BH: No. They wouldn't hop the fence.
me: Oh yes they will. (I relate a story of a friends little dog vs coyotes) They will jump the fence and take her away!
BH: Oh don't be silly. They will not carry her fat little body over the fence, they'll just eat her here in the yard.

Yeah. He said that. Very funny.

In case you're wondering BH loves little Maya B very much and would never want her hurt in any way.

So now on to my car.

My car is missing!

Well that's what BH says. I say it runs like it's not feeling well. You know, kind of rough and sluggish. BH says it's missing. Missing means something else to me, my car is in the driveway and is certainly not missing. Whatever. So we take it in to the shop. Yesterday the mechanic calls and says the rats or mice have chewed the heck out of it and all sorts of things need to be replaced. He also says that rats/mice do not like the smell of dryer sheets so put a bunch of those in there it'll keep them from nesting and eating the hoses and stuff. Sweeet! I can do that! So we get my car home, I grab my trusty megga box of dryer sheets, extra fragrant, and we set out to put dryer sheets under the hood.

This is a great idea until you lift the hood and try to figure out where to put dryer sheets. You can't just lay them in there, they'll fly out or get stuck in the fan or belts or whatever. So then we get some GB ties and try to figure out what wont get too hot and start a fire. We did manage to tie a few in here and there. It's ridicules really. I doubt it'll help much.

The main problem is that I don't drive my car much. Maybe once/twice a week. I drive in with BH so I don't really need to. I live minutes (walking distance ifin I wasn't so lazy) from work so even if I did drive, the engine barely warms up. So I'm thinkin now I'll have to start the dang car up every morning, check under the hood, and then drive to work more often.

Oh and I found an awesome black widow spider web under the hood as well.

Niiiice!

And the new house! It's looking like we may be moving in as of Nov 1. Yeah! Just in time for NaBloPoMo. I may or may not have use of a home office during that time. Double yeah! See I have this grand idea for NaBloPoMo but that idea is going to be even more challenging now. Not to mention I still have not received my temporary sleeve in the mail nor have I received a call from the physical therapist regarding an appointment. My left arm is practically useless and I'll be moving. (sigh)

The tenants said they'll be out of the house by the end of this month. They also said they'd be in yesterday to pay their rent. So who knows. Maybe they wont be out until the end of November and I'll move over Christmas. Either way it's going to suck.

I'm crabby just thinkin about it.

But I got the videos to load up! Happiness!

And I'll have my boys December 1st or there abouts. And Frank! And those are very happy thoughts. (Stay positive P, it's all a mater of perspective.)

I wasn't sure if Frank would be able to come with us. Frank was given to youngest as a Christmas present, years ago. He is youngest dog but X is Frank's human. Frank loves everyone, except Kitty, which we are not taking, but he loves his daddy the bestest. They play hide-n-seek and are inseparable. X still doesn't 'know' that Frank is coming over to the enemy camp. I think he thinks about it but nothings been said to him. So, I still kind of wonder if there's a chance he wont come.
