Clothes shopping at Ross

The hair is comming in.

Eyebrows too! And eyelashes!

I did have to dye it for it was so grey.

Underwear/outerwear?

I am a huge square! In fact it's probably square to say square. That's how square I am.

I went clothes shopping recently. The majority of my clothes have shrunk over the last 6 months so I NEED, and I do mean need new clothes.

I shopped for 5 hours and hit 3 stores.

I bought 2 things. TWO! I hate clothes shopping.

I am not a clothes horse or fashion plate or whatever hip people call it these days. Now that I'm a working girl (and may I add licensed Realtor) not a jeans and T-shirt hausfrau, I need nice clothes. I want to look nice, professional, and I thought, hip. But no. I cannot be hip.

Everywhere I went. Ok, just 3 places, but still, all those places had the camitop.

I remember when it first became fashionable to wear your underwear as outerwear. I was working at a postal outlet when this girl came in with a camisole on.

I turned to my co-worker and said, 'That girl forgot to put her blouse on.'

'Priscilla, that is a camitop.'

'camiwhat?'

'You've never seen one before?'

'Yes, I have that same top at home. It's called a camisole and it is underwear.'

'No, it's a camitop and EVERYONE is wearing them.'

My dear co-worker failed to notice that EVERYONE would include me and I am not wearing one. And until that time no one in the shop was wearing one or had been wearing one because I certainly would have noticed.

'Well I can't believe you haven't seen one before.'

Well I wished I hadn't seen it then, or since for that matter.

And everywhere, EVERYWHERE, I go there are cami's for tops. It is quite the hip thing. So I cannot be hip. I must be square because I will not wear my underwear as outerwear.

And there you have it.

On yet another shopping spree we went to the new Dos Lagos center in Corona. They have a lot of stores there now and it's quite nice.

First stop, Kohl's. It's kind of like a Mervyns or whatever else you may have in your area. It's not spendy like Nordstoms or Macy's but the clothes are decent and resonably priced.

I try on, oh, 30 things.
I buy one.
It's a cute top, lacy, nice work attire. I have slacks and a skirt I can wear with it.
On sale, $22.00.

Next we go to Ross. Now I can never really find anything at Ross or TJ Max because of the way they have their clothes displayed. I am not very good at figuring out what goes with what. I'm just not creative that way. I have to see it first. So I like the stores that 'show' you what goes with what and how to mix and match and make things, you know, cute. Now I am tired (from the whole Kohl's experience) and I don't really want to shop anymore.

Oh wait, next we went to Target so BH can get a coke. I poke around in the clothes and purses and don't find anything I gotta try on. Then I sit in the cafe and have a .99 popcorn and for one penny more I can have a coke. Sweeeeet! You know what I see on the menu? Organic Mac and Cheese! Really! Anyway I'm kind of hoping BH is ready to go home too, no, he says we gotta get more than one thing. He doesn't understand. Sometimes I go shopping and come back with nuthin, so I got sumthin, nuthin more should be expected. So we get up to go to Ross.

Wait, right next door is Cost + World Market! BH has never been in Cost + so I have to take him in there. I love that place. Anyway I am poking around for like 20/30 minutes when BH says, 'there's no clothes in here' (duh, hello!) 'we came to clothes shop, you're burning daylight'

We head off, again, to Ross.
I don't expect much to happen. I am kind of hoping that I can walk around, wrinkle my cute little button nose (it's not really) every now and then and then walk out.

Instead I see this.

Look at the back! Cute, yes?

And this!

again cute back.

I found these two dresses in sizes I think will fit and walk into the dressing room. Not only do they fit but they look awesome.
And they were $10.99 each!
I know!
BH didn't like the orange one much, the color, too bright. For $10.99 I think he'll live.
I not only found one thing, I found two!
I walked into the dressing room, with two things, two things, and bought them both!
I was so tickled that I couldn't stop talking about it the whole way home. Thirty minute drive in case you're wondering.

Before we entered the store, just above this sign we see. . . .

Swallow nests!

Those little black things are swallows hanging out on the wall.

The entire panel is covered in swallow's nests. We counted 35 mud nests on this one panel alone.

You did very well on your shopping trip. I'm REAL SQUARE with what I wear. Congratulations on your new profession. Your hair coming in and being short is right in style now. There are a lot of ladies here wearing their hair really short. It must also feel good in hot weather. I'm letting mine get a little longer and then send it to locks of love. I am thinking a couple of more inches before I cut it.
