It is time for me to make Marzipan. But I have no pan the right size. The pan I used last year was a copper 2 qt that now has the copper showing through the tin. I'm not sure if this is harmful or not but there has to be a reason why they tinned it in the first place.
Every year for the last 20 + years I have made my dad Marzipan for his birthday. It's Feb 10th and I'm running out of time. You see Marzipan take a long time to make. I make 3 batches because it turns out my kids love it too so they get it on Valentines day. It's a huge time consuming mess and as much as dad loves it I'll only make it once a year. I'll show you why as I go along.
I need to do a Wally run to see if they have a 2qt pan I can live with.
And I need to check out Wally, Big Lots or Dollar Tree for Valentines boxes. And those little paper cups for the candy.
