Santa Photos, arn't they handsome!

Our one precious Santa Photo. It's ok though. Santa was nice and looked good, the boys managed to get all their smiles in order. I did not care for the backdrop here. I prefer a more ornate throne for the jolly guy, but this is what we have this year and I'm blessed to have it and I got to be there with them.

Every year we get a picture of the boys with Santa. EVERY YEAR! No matter what. Ever since they were babies.

The last few years with work schedules it has gotten harder to get them all together at one time.

This year their dad wanted to get it done at the mall where we've gone in the past few years. He never got the boys together for it. They, on their own picked a day where they could all be together. Their dad was not able to make it. It was the day of my second treatment and I didn't know if I'd be able to go. I didn't feel great but I felt well enough to go.

Unfortunate event #1
As my youngest was pulling out of our car port he hit a large rock that lines our property. Think huge. (I'll post a pic later) It put a ginormous dent in his bumper and it will have to be replaced. The bumper that is. He's only had this car for a few months and it is his dream car. He loves this car. I forget what it is right now. Needless to say he was crushed. (not funny, sorry) but managed to pull himself together for the photo.

BH wants to know when he's going to wash the paint off his rock. Again, not funny. Youngest will not find this amusing. Maybe in a year from now, maybe.

Unfortunate event #2
We went to the Elsinore Outlet Mall. It was closer than our usual place and we decided to try it out.

I've taken Santa photo's with the boys for 23 years. I always buy a pic and then take a bunch of my own. I can use my negs, now digital and make Christmas cards etc. I have always asked if I can take pics, I always can, I never have a problem.

Problem. I can only take one of my own photos with Santa. One! I ask if I can take more pics if I buy one. No. No? Then what the hey, I'll not buy one then. There! Take that! Funny thing is there was no one in line. No one! We were there snapping pictures for several minutes and no one came in. While we were only able to take one pic with Santa we could take as many pictures of their scenes as we liked.

How generous of them.

We got lots.

Cute polar bear.

Igloo. Not impressed. They needed more stuff. More snow, more trees, more. . . something.

Dave and Barbie. I'd have liked to have them with Santa as we did last year. But, well, forgitaboutit.

The penguins were goofy looking I thought. But maybe with more background stuff it would've been better.

Jeffrey and Casey. I think this is a very sweet pic of them and I made a copy to frame.

In other news:

Turtles are happily hibernating. I haven't heard a peep out of them. Come to think of it I've never heard them peep. But they arn't moving either. BH worries about turning the light on in the room. First they are covered in newspaper, second they are in a cardboard box. And they are HIBERNATING! If any light gets in there they won't know it.

Medical stuff is going well I think. I'll post some details on my other page later.

What a great thing...photos every year! We always did a photo each year in our own living room, but somehow last year, it didn't get done and now this year, my son does not live at home..boohoo. Anyhow, I think they are great..who cares about the background - it is your handsome family that matters!!!!

Sorry to hear about your son and the rock..poor guy.

Glad to hear the turtles are not "peeping"?????? LOL
