Ensenda Vacation part II

This is La Bufadora.

It is one long Mexican shopping mall, I mean street, ok, it's both. Kind of like TJ only not as crazy. You still have venders pulling you in but the merchandise is the same stuff you get all over TJ. To the left is the ocean. The right is hills.

At the end of the mall there are breathtaking views of the ocean.

BH is getting a little tired of having his pic taken so much.

This guy is a very buff, tan 1/2 naked Indian or Mexican. He dances for money, you know, tips and stuff. To the left you can see a shell. He blows the shell when the blow hole goes off.

This is La Bufadora. I heard someone say it meant buffalo and how the buffalo snorts but I have no idea really. I'll google it later. In the meantime the water churns around in here for a while. You can hear it in the caves.

And then it sprout up out of the cave. It's magnificient. It will blow out about three times and then you have to wait about 10 minutes or so for it to do it again. I hear that there are other times of the day when it is even higher and more frequent. It was still amazing.

We are now having a drink at what is called the Habana Banana. It is very popular with tourists. It has 3 or 4 levels and is set up like a tree house.

BH sampling his Cuban Cigar. He collects cigars. He has a beautiful handmade humidor.
He's not really sure if this is a real Cuban Cigar.
I guess it doesn't matter.
BH doesn't smoke cigars.

A beautiful view from the Habana Banana.

These guys were fantastic. They played all 70's classic stuff like Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd! They were very very good.

This day was sunny and warm but not hot. They have very strong drinks here. I had 2 margaritas and needed a nap.

Back at the hotel.

There were two cruise ships in the harbor Saturday.

On the way out of Mexico we stopped at this hotel just south of Rosarito. It was beautiful. It's called La Calafia. There's a hotel, restaurant, gift shop and wedding chapel. It's right on the beach and there are gazebos and places to sit inside and out where you can sit and enjoy the ocean.

Behind the guys is the restaurant where we ate. It was buffet style which is a little wierd when you don't know what some of the things are. I had bunuelos here for the first (only) time this trip. I've never find them in the states with all our great Mex restaurants and I love them. Bunuelos are fried flour tortillas and then they pour this sticky syrup all over it. That's all. I don't know why I love them so much.

I should try to make them.
I could make them.
How hard can they be?

This is another part of the hotel. They are still building it.

This hotel is scattered with views and patios and outside entertaining etc.

Now we're back at TJ. At the border. Ready to leave. It didn't take too long only about 45 min or so.

There are all kinds of street vendors, some sell stuff, some sell food/drinks. There is no refrigeration here, who buys food on the street like this? Let me tell you, lots of people.

LA MIGRA!
No just border guards. These guys have a little doggie. You can barely see his tail here.

And he weaves in and out of the cars, sniffing every little thing like a good dog.

He is a very thin German Shepherd. I know these dogs are taken care of better than most humans but this pup was thin.

I had a dog like that, thin as a bone, well fed but hyper. We could never put any weight on him.

So that is it ladies and germs, and if you have germs stay away from me. This took two days to do. Whew!

I finally feel human today. My arm bugs me so computer work is painful, today, better.
