Ensenada vacation part I

I'm finally feeling well enough to post some pictures.

This is the border. I think we're still in California right now.

This is the California/Mexico border fence. Caroline calls this the iron curtain.

We took the tole road and just as soon as you leave Tijuana you begin to see the ocean from the road. The tole roads are the preferred travel to anything south of TJ. The roads are maintained as well as any California road. The tole is $2.40 dllr and I think we hit 4 toll booths on the way to Ensenada.

This is before Rosarito Beach, you can see that buildings are in bad shape. This awesome beach view is surrounded by shacks and trash.

The whole way there we saw this beautiful pristine view of the ocean.

Ginormous statue of Jesus with the sacred heart overlooking the ocean.

Look at this! Georgeous!

This is the hill view from our room. It looks a lot like Elsinore to me. It was breezy and warm and clear.

This is the ocean view from my hotel room. You can see the harbor. It's not a beautiful ocean view per se but I loved it anyway.

This is the couple we went down with. John and his mother Caroline. They are from Hungary. Truly beautiful people. Caroline's accent is quite heavy. They escaped communism. Caroline cusses like a sailor, well not exactly like a sailor. You can't always tell by her accent that she is actually cussing. Hysterical!

Wow, those views are so beautiful. It's amazing that a developer hasn't come in and bought up that land with the views. I guess it happen in time. I'm afraid I would constantly be asking your friend ... "What did you say?" I hope you are feeling better.
