Show and Tell Thursday. . . . ?

Well Shoot. Somehow I missed the whole show and tell post on Tuesday. I really enjoy the show and tell. This week however it was on houseplants and since I don't own a single houseplant I don't feel to bad about missing out. Soooo, if someone could share with me how I missed the boat on this one, please let me know. I have so few pleasures in life.

We all know how much dogs love music.

So no show and tell, not to worry, I have plenty to share.

Tuesday I had a little eye surgery. Not a big ordeal. I had a little mole growing over my tear duct that had to be removed. It didn't bother me as much as the doctor but nevertheless. So I have to be in La Jolla at 8:45am. This is about a 2 hour drive with traffic. The traffic wasn't so awful. We get there and the air conditioner is broken so we have to reschedule. BH says that we can go to San Diego since we are there and have coffee or whatever. Just as we get to San Diego they call us back and tell us we can do the surgery in the office.

We head back and I get my little procedure done. It's not a big deal. He puts a few numbing drops in my eyes and then he sticks a needle in my lid and shoots in a bunch of novacane. This sounds much more painful then it really was. It stung a bit but after having 3 kids I can't say it was awful. He slices off the mole, I don't feel a thing, and I go home.

Here is the hysterical part. My left eye is numb. Totally numb. Like your lip gets at the dentist. My eyelid won't close. I blink and blink and try to close the eye. Nothing. One of the drops he gives me dilates my pupil. So I have this eye, that I can't close and the pupil is totally blown. I look in the mirror and laugh myself silly. It is very creepy to blink and see that eye, with the huge pupil, staring back at you. BH laughed. He called it my Columbo look. (in case you're wondering, I am a huge Columbo fan and Peter Falk has a glass eye.) It didn't last long.

Oh, that made me laugh about the Columbo look! What a beautiful area you live in and travel to San Diego...I've never been but I'd love to see it. I didn't see the show & tell subject either posted on Tuesday but I didn't have a plant anyway!!
