Miscellaneous Friday***Guns and lemons*What I saw on the way to the eye doctor**

ADORABLE! What a cute baby you have there.

Look at these lemons! Pretty picture I think. I may even frame it when I'm able to get some good photo paper.

Last night I went out and did a little gardening. I love to hang out in the garden and blast my music and get my hands dirty. I bought a six pack of scalloped squash so I planted them and a majoram in the front planter. Hung a hummingbird feeder from a shepherds hook. I tucked it beside a rose bush. Very cute. Watered thoroughly. I noticed the abundance of lemons on the lemon tree. There are 2 different kinds of lemon trees in the side yard but this one is full. I had previously picked a trash can full of lemons and the tree is still quite full. There are a whole bunch of blossoms so we are ready for a new crop already and the old crop is still on there. I figure I need to remove the old to help the new. I pick and pick and pick and pick. I am terrified of spiders and I am all up in this tree, picking and picking. I pick about 1/4 of a large trash can worth of lemons and there is still more. I just got too tired to do anymore and was afraid the trash can would be too heavy to move. Without wheels I wouldn't have been able to budge it. Yes I saved about 3 grocery bags full of lemons for the house and friends.

This is the bottomless lemon tree!

These are some of the lemons that I left on the tree. There is plenty more.

And I'll have you know that I was packin while pickin. BH worries about me. Its not that we live in a bad area. Its not JUST that we live in a bad area. Actually it may be a great area but it is a bit secluded and not close to any neighbors. If anything, God forbid, was to happen no one would see or hear anything, except maybe gunfire. He has wanted me to carry THE gun while I'm tooling around on the property. This I refused to do until I had actually fired the thing. I worried that should I really have to use it I might have to stand there and figure it out thus reducing its effectiveness or worse put a hole in myself in a place where it shouldn't be. So after firing at the range a month or so ago I felt confident about carrying it, I know how to use it and what to expect when it goes off. Thankfully it has a very hard trigger so it will not accidently go off accidently in my waistband.

Try and try as I might I could not get a decent picture of myself with the gun in the waistband of my jeans. You cannot see how cool I look with it but you can see the tiny curve of the handle in the bottom left corner.

I let Tom roam the fenced in yard while I picked and he just couldn't wait to try to find a way to escape. Maybe he got tired of listening to Led Zepplin. Tom says 'Who's that?' I say 'No, not The Who, Led Zepplin. Completly different band altogether.' Tom says, 'WHATEVER!"

Now I was on my way to the eye doctor and I saw this monstrosity in front of me. Have you all seen the Hummer Limo? It is hideous. Really hideous. Unless you have some sort of military background would you really want a Hummer Limo? It's just a question. I'd really like to know.

Love the Lemon Tree. I wish I had one. Now you need to see how many different things you can make with the lemons!

Those lemons are making me want to take a deep breath and smell them. Yummy. I love sweet lemon things. Can you juice them and freeze the juice? I love Tom. I am still amazed that you've had him that long.

The smell is heavenly. My trash area smells lemony fresh. Yes I can freeze the juice. I had a juicer that I absolutly loved. X has custody of that at the moment and I need to find another one.

I need some great lemon recipes. (any idears?,recipes welcome)I have been throwing out a ton of lemons and I sure would like to make some things with them.

I have made morroccan dishes with preserved lemons. I've got to find all my cookbooks so I can do that again.
