I'll first start with an adorable pug picture because after all, it's all about the pug! This little cutie has her Easter Dress on. Right on!
So here it is. A bunch of high school students 'demonstrating' on our street corner.

The students absolutely have the right to voice their opinions.
And so do I!
Let me first start by saying that I am a naturalized citizen. In case you are unfamiliar with this term it means that I was born in another country and went through the process to become a US citizen. Before we came to this country my parents had to fill out all the paper work. Do all the pre-entry stuff and wait. I think we waited about 2 years before we were allowed to enter.
I wouldn't dream of taking down the American flag and hanging it upside down and then flying my former country's flag.
I vote every election.
I do not agree with many of the choices of our president but I support him because he IS the President of this fine country. My country. Our Country. I find the entire Mexican rally to be extremely offensive. I have a right to say these things because I know what they are going through. Not only that but it is my right as an American, to voice my opinion. American or not, everyone has a right to their opinion in this country.
Another beef I have is what I am hearing them say. I have heard on the news that anyone that disagrees with them is a racist and a hate monger. Yes, they said hate monger. This is untrue for the most part. While some that disagree may be prejudice that is not the problem. I for one am not a racist and I don't hate anyone. Well there is one witch that chewed me out on the phone. No offense to witches, I don't hate witches either. I believe that they are playing the race card. We are the bad guys because we won't give them what they want.
I believe in the naturalization system. It is in place to protect our country. All countries have a system to allow immigrants to come into their country.
I would also like to mention how Mexico deals with immigrants. Anyone is allowed to come into Mexico and vacation and spend their money. You can live there as long as you like. They have no green card system, you may not work in their country. You can't own land and you can't become a citizen. Only those born in the country may own property or work in Mexico. I find this offensive. Mexicans are demanding rights in our country while we are denied any rights in Mexico. I'd call this racist. Don't you think?
I realize that this is a highly complicated problem. We all need to work together to solve this problem in a way that is beneficial to our country and our people. I pray that we can come to a solution without violence or creating the hate atmosphere that the illegal aliens fear.
I am stepping down from my soap box now.
Next!
